Hi, I’m Nahal Suzanne Jamir, and this is my author site. You can start with the About page to learn more about me. Or if you’re ready to read, head to my Writing page for full-text of many pieces.
I also just finished guest editing fiction for Issue 283 of Prime Number Magazine, and I hope you’ll check out the wonderful writing there!
*A note on the web domain “stay Persian”: I use this phrase to remember that my heritage is polyphonous, that I have different cultures to explore and to honor besides the one I am surrounded with here in the U.S. As a second-generation immigrant, there is always a risk of forgetting all but the dominant culture, and I am more than one—as are we all. I use the term “Persian” to refer to culture (art, food, etc.) and not to align with any nation-state or nationalism.

“I had learned that you should always shout louder than your aggressor.”
